Hotel Chocolat design

I got an easter egg from hotel chocolat and i think the packaging was just as tasty. The black box was subtly embossed with a floral pattern and the scarlet red sleeve is around the box. This contained a sheet of lovely, slightly corrugated paper with a keyhole shape cut out of it. At £20 an egg the packaging needs to be this classy. If there's one criticism it would be that they are obviously not concerned with environmental issues as there was a lot of unnecessary packaging.

D&AD

We submitted our D&AD before easter and im really pleased with what we did. it was the first time id worked collaboratively and i think we worked really well together. The brief asked for a fresh new look for sanitary products. Our chosen concept was environments and we came up with the brand identity of 'time' which was then prefixed by 'one', 'some, and 'every' to indicate how many of the product is in the box. For example 'one...time' has only 3 in and could be handy for a night out. We decided on bold colours in the end as we hoped the confidence of the packaging would affect the customer in a confident way too. The information is printed on the inside of the box to save paper.
