Felt tip

I bought this book called Felt - tip from Grafik, its got the work of thirty designers and illustrators in it. the brief was open but the only materials they were allowed to use were a sheet of A1 paper and a pack of letraset pens. Every poster is really different and the designers have written their explanation of their work. Its cool for anyone who is into hand drawn stuff. Pirates

I hoped to rave about this film after seeing it but im going to have to rant about how it was a bit rubbish. It was over complicated by about eight different story lines - a lot of them unnecessary - and too many 'main' characters - of them being Keira Knightley who was just generally given too much screen time. To be fair i was expecting it to be the best film ever after the first two but the standard should have been consistent. It felt like they struggled to make sure all the story lines came together at the end so there was no loose ends and i thought it got quite silly at points. Despite this I would still say its well worth seeing even if its just to see Johnny :) i would just say to watch Dead Mans Chest again before seeing this because i found myself throughout the film trying to remind myself of what happened.

CZECH IT OUT - prague trip

TUESDAY 8TH MAY
We went to the centre and looked around then went across the Charles Bridge and looked around the shops there. After a bit of searching we found the John Lennon wall where there were drawings, graffiti and models dedicated to Lennon and the ideals he stood for.

WEDNESDAY 9TH MAY
Didn't do much on this day, just wandered round the shops and took photographs for the project. We were asked to focus on five different objects or subjects and record them. I chose drains, windows, clocks, money and food packaging.

CZECH IT OUT - prague trip

MONDAY 7TH MAY
Got a tram then walked to the astronomical clock in the Old Town square. Crowds gathered to watch the clock strike the hour (a bit of an anti climax in our opinion) when model figures came out of the two windows at the top and rotated round the front. We went to a gallery next and saw a Dali exhibition downstairs and an Alphonse Mucha exhibition upstairs. I much preferred his work because it was all decorative illustration and some type. I bought some playing cards with his illustrations on them. Lots of the shops in Prague had gifts and stuff with his work on because he was born in Czech Republic.

Corsa Advert
